Atop a hill just outside of Jump City, a slender figure stood, looking down at the metropolis, her dark brown, almost shoulder length hair fluttered lightly in the soft breeze as her matching eyes surveyed the city. Slung across her back was rough pack, underneath which was secured a long, thick roll of some kind of leather, hanging diagonally across her back. Her clothing style looked more like something you'd see in a wilderness survival movie than on someone just outside a city: mostly brown, unadorned leather, and simple, undyed cloth. Hanging in her right hand was a short, light strap of leather that also fluttered with the wind.
One deep breath later, she spoke, as if reassuring herself, "Alright...I've made it this far, no turning back now."
Smoothly she ran her hands back through her hair, gathering it all behind her head, and tying it back with the thin bit of leather she'd been carrying into a snug ponytail, the sides of which just barely covered the top of her ears.
She gripped the straps of her back, and with a quick tug repositioned the heavy pack to a more comfortable position on her back, then started on her way towards the city.

A short while later, the girl had entered the city, but although she clearly didn't know it, she'd found her way into the slums of the city, and was strolling her way through a rather rough part of the city, seeming to think nothing of it.
However simple and rough her clothing may be, it was still rather form-fitting, accenting her slender body, and this by no means went unnoticed by the people around the area, only one of them took any action. A tall, rather disheveled looking man walked up to her with a slight stagger, 'accidentally' bumping into her, he wrapped an arm around her shoulder and spoke with a slight slur, driving her towards the wall, "Hey baby, wanna go have some fun?"
The girl looked at the man that towered over her as she bumped into the wall, a slightly cynical look on her face, and replied, her voice soft, but carrying an iron forged edge to it, "Can I tell you something first?"
The drunk man smiled, "Of course baby."
A slight smile on her face, she leaned forward and whispered into his ear, quietly enough that no one else could hear, "I like my men a little more gentlemanly, and sober when I first meet them, but if you catch me out sometime, I might let you buy me a drink. But for now..." her voice shifted, taking on a strange tone, "Slytha," she whispered into his ear
As she said her last word, the man's eyes rolled back in his head and he collapsed against her, sleeping soundly. The girl sighed and said aloud, but still sounding muttered, "Hmph, dumb drunk, having to go and pass out on me."
Despite the size difference between the two, the girl easily hefted the man onto her shoulder, and turned around depositing him in a space between two buildings. Stepping back and nodding slightly as if approving of the spot she'd dropped him in, she readjusted the pack on her back, and kept on walking, looking around at the city with a level of curiosity.
