I know what you are talking about, Teph. *also mumbles about the 'other' site.* That's what I roleplay. To be really, perfectly honest, I don't think the joining rules here are hard enough, and all the profiles I approved so far would never have been taken on the other sites I helped admin. BUT, this site is different, and far more lenient. I don't like it, to tell it truthfully, but Teph tells me this site is different. It's hard adjusting. All of my Zelda and Final Fantasy sites had far stricter means of application, and profiles had to be paragraphs long on each part or you would not get approved. It was meant as a way to prove you knew the character well enough to roleplay them so we didn't hand out really important roles to some kid who didn't know the game from a hole in the ground. It's kinda hard to experience a good Final Fantasy roleplay if Tidus is a tightass and Sephiroth liked pink bunnies and kitties, lol. So--I helped make those joining rules, and I guess I just went a little overboard. I 'm a detail nazi, what can I say? ^_^ If you guys really think you are 'jumping through hoops', I guess that's my fault. Really, I believe Teph should handle this, seeing as she was here long before me. Just bear with me--I'll get this hang of this site eventually. Until then, you'll have to forgive my inexperience. ^_^ Question: How do you type paragraphs upon paragraphs on Zelda characters? There's not THAT much background, especially for minor characters. Also I've noticed alot of inconsistancies and redundancies in the application process. First, why have them type up examples of 1st and 3rd person as the character they're applying for, and then tell them they have to post on a trial board until they've proven themselves? Either accept their application or don't. You never seea business have an interview and say "Ya you're hired, but you won't start getting paid until you prove you can do this job." That's just redundant and rediculous. Just letting you know how I feel on the subject.
