Here goes, just finished the profile...meet Hayden
Player Info
Name: Guildsbounty (aka ‘GB’)
Contact Info: email address provided with my account
How you heard of Code Titan: a friend who used to be a high rank in the site
Character Info
Name: Hayden Raimer
Age: 19
Gender: male
Species: Human
Homeworld: Ringo Prime
Allignment: Neutral Good: He is good because it’s the right thing to do, not because he is upholding any laws. As such, he has no reservations about bending and even breaking the law in the interest of upholding his idea of what is right
Profession: Deep space salvage operator
Weapons: Hayden usually finds himself fighting hand-to-hand, but is quite proficient with improvised weaponry (i.e. anything he finds laying around that can be used as a weapon.) As such, he doesn’t typically carry any weapons, but can use anything laying around as one.
Items: Hayden’s primary gadget is his left arm, as a young child he was involved in an accident that resulted in the loss of his left arm. Since he was very poor at the time, he couldn’t afford to have his arm regrown, so instead he constructed a rough prosthetic to replace his lost limb. At first this was just a stiff, essentially useless limb, but over time has been continuously upgraded to the point it is now. His arm is interchangeable with various other ones, but the one he usually has on is about ten times the strength of a normal human arm, and contains various tools ranging from laser cutters to a simple screwdriver. This arm is covered with a synthetic substance that feels and behaves much like human flesh, but has a massive regeneration factor so that when he extends a tool from the arm, it will break the skin, but that hole will close up as soon as he retracts said tool, allowing his arm to appear human. (as a side note, despite how strong Hayden’s left arm is, if he plans to move something with it, not only must his arm be capable of moving it, but the rest of his body must be able to support the weight or impact)
Vehicles: DSS Redemption (Deep Space Salvage) is the craft that Hayden calls his deep space home, the craft is massive, far to big to enter atmosphere, so he currently has it holding orbit around the moon it is heavily armed and has several hangar bays along the port side. Although the ship is quite capable of combat, its true use is that of a salvage craft, seeking out the wreckage from space battles or destroyed ships, salvaging what he finds, and transporting it for sale. i48.photobucket.com/albums/f238/guildsbounty/Mammoth.jpg
Since his capitol ship is far too big to land in atmosphere, Hayden retained his original salvage craft, the Renegade, now heavily upgraded into more a luxury yacht than a work craft. This craft is armed too, a large battery of forward mounted laser and plasma cannons, and three single laser turrets. i48.photobucket.com/albums/f238/guildsbounty/Centaur.jpg
Currently, the Renegade is landed just outside Jump City, positioned in such a way that it resembles a multiple leveled building rather than a space craft, concealing the engines by blasting a hole into a hill and backing the craft into that hole, so the engines back up against the hill itself
::EDIT::
From a not too long ago 'adventure' on the planet Vascotton IV, Hayden spent some time hiding out with a local hover-bike gang. During his stay with them, he came to like riding, and has recently constructed a hover-bike of his own, although it ended up drastically different from the original design.
At first the vehicle was left on board the Redemption, as an attempt to remain inconspicuous while on planet. Since realizing that at least Jump City was thoroughly used to the unusual and exotic, and his irritation with having absolutely no luck being able to find something on planet that he could modify, he had the bike dropped down to him by landing pod.
The bike itself is about seven feet long, and a mere four feet tall. The overall design is very sleek narrowing down to a rounded nose in the front. Unlike any form of normal motorcycle, this vehicle is totally enclosed, and situated so that the pilot must lay on their stomach to control it. The drive system is a modified version of the system used in ships which lock over one arm, and control the entire ship based off simple movements and button taps by that arm. Hayden removed the arm lock, and the entire bike is controlled by a steering bars that are far more sensitive than would be considered normal, and the button like triggers that are on them. Inside the 'cockpit' there is potentially room for one passenger, but as that person would literally have to lay across Hayden's back, that space has never been used as such.
Perhaps the most unusual feature of this vehicle is that it has absolutely no windows. Rather, the vehicle attaches directly to the cybernetic portions of Hayden's brain through hidden ports on the back of his neck.
When in motion, the bike hovers anywhere from a few inches to several feet off the ground, allowing it to traverse uneven terrain if necessary. Internal gyros keep the bike upright almost regardless of situation, but have enough give to allow for banking to turn. Another feature of the vehicle is what is referred to as an inertial compensator. Basically, this is a miniaturized version of a capitol ship's artificial gravity generator, and serves to set the pilot's center of gravity as the motorcycle. Although this removes any sensation of turning and motion, it does allow the vehicle to perform maneuvers and accelerate at rates that would otherwise harm the pilot. However, since Hayden still likes to feel the motion of the bike, he will often turn off the compensator when out riding.
Although the vehicle is designed to be able to carry a pair of forward mounted light laser weapons, Hayden has yet to install any.
Specs:
Top speed: +Mach 1 (atmospheric stress at low altitude prevents it from going any faster, so Hayden has restricted the engines to such a speed)
Acceleration: 0-60 1.5 seconds
Color: Black and Red
Energy output: 30 megajules
::/EDIT::
Powers/Abilities: His robotic arm (as explained above), Hayden is a skilled martial artist, however his style is not a primarily offensive one (like Robin’s) but is centered on defense and counters, turning an opponents attacks back against them. Typically, he fight with only his right hand, as his left is so much stronger than his right and tends to make his style a little unbalanced. Hayden is also highly skilled with technology, primarily robotics, having constructed his first artificially intelligent machine at the age of 12.
Additionally, he has upgraded a little more of his body, such as installing a high frequency radio transmitter into his skull, allowing him to maintain communication with his ships and robots at all times, and replacing many parts of his brain with cybernetics allowing him increased accuracy in memory, and the ability to uplink to a computer using only his mind. This is primarily used in controlling his ‘workers’ and in accessing an external memory device he keeps to help him remember things.
Pets: His crew of salvage robots (these will most likely never touch down on the surface of the planet)
Appearance: i48.photobucket.com/albums/f238/guildsbounty/Kaleposs.jpg this picture is fairly close to the one in my head…lose the cig, guns, and bracer on his right arm and that’s about accurate. He stands at about 5’11”, weighing around 160lbs, pretty much everything else can be told from that picture
Personality: Hayden is a dyed in the wool freelancer, he tends to dislike strict regulations and loves his freedom over almost anything. In the grand scheme of things, he tends to remain neutral when it comes to allying with sides that neither is exactly good or evil, preferring to stay in the middle and profit from their quarrel. However, when it comes to a matter of right and wrong, Hayden will stand against an army to defend one person. He can be quite protective over things he is in power over, whether this be his ships, or a passenger he is transporting, and if these things are threatened will take action to defend them.
In terms of day to day, he tends to seem carefree, and not seem overly concerned over what is happening in the world. This mostly stems from the vast number of worlds he has traveled to and seen, and seeing that against the depth of space, how small and petty most problems seem. Despite this, Hayden never seems to be able to keep himself from getting involved in such problem, often without wanting to. Regardless, if he gets himself involved, he will see a problem through to its conclusion.
In combat, he doesn’t throw around insults and try to taunt his opponents, he is very serious, and hardly speaks at all, letting his actions speak for him. Despite his dedication to defending the innocent, he acknowledges that sometimes the best way to help them is to get them on a ship and get away from the area, and will usually not enter a fight without being thoroughly prepared for it.
Although all the facts behind it are unclear, Hayden seems to have a vast network of contacts across the galaxy, and almost anywhere he goes, people seem to know him, and owe him favors.
History: ((I’m going to couple the history with the first person RP bit, taking a slightly modified excerpt from the story Hayden originates from. Here we have Hayden telling a passenger aboard the Redemption a little about his past))
“Alright, if you insist, I was born on Ringo Prime, never knew my parents, so I lived in an orphanage until I was eight years old. It basically sucked there, so I ran away at that point and spent the next five years living on the streets, surviving as best I could. While I was on the streets, I picked up that I had a knack for technology, specifically, robotics. So when I was thirteen, I built my first robot out of scrap parts that I had salvaged. A bit of programming later, and I had taught it how to build another robot, and had it do so, repeatedly. Soon, I had a bunch of these robots, and using them, began to work out a simple business, working through junkyards and the like, salvaging things that were still useful and refitting them to be sold as parts, or anything else I found.”
“Two years later, I realized that for all the junkyards that I frequented on Ringo Prime, the biggest one of them all, I had never even touched, deep space. So, I reprogrammed my robots, rather than having them salvage parts and build more robots, I had them start salvaging the parts to build a ship capable of leaving the atmosphere, so I could salvage in space. Took them about four months to finish the project, and soon I was savaging broken down satellites, and anything else that I found out there.”
“That was six years ago, I hadn’t been into the orbital space salvage trade for long when I hit a huge break. A battle took place in the space around Ringo Prime, a small radical faction of people that wanted their separation from the Humankind Abh Empire had secretly amassed a fleet and attacked the stationed post in the system. For a while, the separatists controlled the space around the Ringo system.”
Sariel cut in, “There’s no way that the Empire would let that happen.”
“Yeah, they only controlled the area for a short time, until the Abh returned in force and crushed them outright in a real-space battle. Here, I saw my chance and jumped on it, I contacted the captain of the lead ship, and through him, the Duke that was over our sector. My offer was that I would clean up the system for them, removing all the space junk that had been left behind as a result of the space battle; in return, I wanted to be allowed to keep what I salvaged. I knew it was a long shot, and really doubted that my request would be cleared. I guess I underestimated how little our Duke liked getting his hands mixed up with affairs such as that, I was informed that since it was ‘far from elegant’ to trouble himself with clearing out all the debris, he would leave that to me to do so as I saw fit, as long as he didn’t have to bother with it himself.”
*shrugs, finishing drink*, “So I basically salvaged an entire war zone. One of the ships’ Time-Space cluster generator was undamaged, as was it’s navigational systems, so I went to work modifying my ship so that it could travel in Plane Space. I suppose it went from there, to what you see now, a twenty-two year-old salvage operator.”
Sariel looked at him curiously, “So is this that ship you build all those years ago?”
“Oh, no the Redemption was built a year after that, I guess I made her so huge since I was tired of having to leave behind valuable parts because I ran out of space, so I went all out. But the original ship is still in my possession, in fact its down in the landing bay. Then again, after all the upgrades and modifications, it’s hardly the same ship anymore. But ya know, I suppose the best way to get to know me is to know what I do, and best way to do that is to see how it all goes. Come on, I’ll give ya a tour of the ship.” *Looks over to the bar*, “Hey Cookie, we’re outta here, thanks for the food, it was delicious as always.”
Example of First person RP, and Third Person RP: ((3rd person likewise excerpted from my story. first introduction to Hayden))
“Alright! Hey boys, looks like we hit a jackpot, a Triple Alliance Patrol Ship and a Pair of Abh Assaults.” The voice came from a space-suited figure standing right on the edge of one of the hangar bays, looking out at the wreckage that floated around him, “Looks like they’re not in too bad of shape either, specially the far assault, looks like it just took a glancing blow,” The figure was moderately tall, a little under six-foot, and through the snug suit, one could tell he was very much in high physical condition. Through the visor of his helmet, although partially obscured by the reflection the visor gave off, a younger, male, human face could be seen, his eyes shining at the sight, looking like shards of emerald. By general estimate, he appeared to be in his twenties, “Alright, you all know the drill, search first, cut into pieces and haul off second.” A chorus of confirmations came back to him through his radio, as, through his visor, a smirk appeared, “Let’s rock.”
At his call, rock music immediately was unleashed upon the radio frequency. His smirk still holding, the young man simply dove out the magnetic field that separated the hangar from hard vacuum. After a moment of free coasting through deep space, his right hand squeezed down on the control strapped to it, activating the jetpack on his back, and guiding him towards the destroyed hulks, he called into his radio again, “VHRs, split yourselves between the patrol ship and the near assault ship, VHR Spark, you’re with me on the far assault ship.” Behind him, several moderate sized, many limbed figures launched from the bays, splitting up, six heading to the patrol ship, three to one assault ship, and one falling in behind the young man that was apparently in charge.
As the eleven figures jetted towards their apparent targets, other figures launched from the bay, some humanoid in shape, others large and bulky, possessing many appendages.
And there ya have it

[EDIT .2] doh, forgot to add in a note about why the heck Hayden is on earth
Hayden has recently found his way to the planet earth, getting away from the massive Triple Alliance whom he managed to cross because the arrested a passenger based solely off her race, and tried to impound his ships. Long story short, he broke out his passenger, retook his ships, and blasted his way out of the system. After returning his passenger to her home planet, Hayden decided that it would be a good idea to vanish for a little while, so he headed for a planet that was not near and Sords (long explanation to those...but to keep it simple, they are the main source of rapid interstellar transport) and found his way to earth. This is not his first visit here, but it is his first time to Jump City, as such he has no real background with either the Titans or the local villains.
